Va-et-vient

Five-Town Friends of the Arts is presenting a short series of pop-up music this fall, and Va-et-vient is excited to appear in mid-November in this lovely shop filled with hand-crafted furniture and rare woods.  Admission is by free will donation.  "Remember, only you can prevent empty seats!"  Come on out on a Thursday night to support this new venue and chantez avec nous !   Suggested donation $10.

We love bringing music to our friends at Helen Porter, where so much good is done for so many in need.  All are welcome to join us for a free morning concert, starting at 10:30 am.  Come on down pour chanter avec nous autres !

We return again for Saint Johnsbury's wonderful New Year's Eve celebration – the warmth of the audiences more than compensates for the cold outside!  Va-et-vient will perform two sets, at 5:00 & 7:00 pm at the Universalist Unitarian Congregation on 47 Cherry St., to sing good-bye to 2019 in St. Johnsbury.  Performers at sixteen venues around the city will help you ring out the old and ring in the new in this alcohol-free city-wide festival!

We are delighted to return to our shire town for an afternoon at the lovely Residence on Otter Creek in Middlebury, Vermont.  Please join us in the inviting salon, where, as always, you will be encouraged to chantez avec nous !

We are so pleased to appear again in beautiful Charlotte, Vermont for the new Sunday afternoon series.  The acoustics are terrific!  $10 suggested donation.  Come join us to warm your wintry afternoon, get to know this wonderful community, and as always, chantez avec nous !  

We are looking forward to performing for middle and high school students in Swanton, Vermont, where proximity to our border with Québec is always an extra benefit:  sharing good music roots enhances good neighbors!   Entrons dans la bonne chanson ensemble !

Va-et-vient is delighted to participate in an engaging conference where students showcase papers, projects, and posters that celebrate French and Spanish languages and cultures.  Language students from SUNY Adirondack campuses will be joined by local participating high schools via the High School College Academy.  The SUNY Adirondack community is encouraged to attend this school-day event. 9:45 Salsa lesson; 10:40 Student Presentations; 11:45 Culinary Arts Club offers Lunch; 12:45–2:00 Francophone music & dance with guest artists “Va-et-Vient.”  Come join the fun!

Our concert at one of our region's most famous and beloved historical sites has been put on hold due to COVID-19.  Nous en sommes désolées !

We were happy to announce a concert in our neighboring Brandon, Vermont, in the beautiful Town Hall that has been lovingly restored.  More details to follow when we are able to reschedule!

This year, friends far and near can see our band, Va-et-vient, performing virtually on New Year's Eve between 5:00 and 6:00 for Saint Johnsbury's First Night North celebration!
