Carol Reed is honored to participate in this concert commemoration of Vermont’s Martha Pellerin, 20 years after her passing.  Martha was a huge inspiration for our band members, and dedicated her life to keeping the vibrant music and culture of Franco-Americans alive and well.  She taught Québecois songs and dances throughout New England, led internships in many Vermont schools with her group Jeter le Pont, and founded “La danse des enfants,” a touring group of young traditional Québecois dancers and Vermont musicians.  A full slate of musicians, including Martha’s bandmates Dana Whittle and Claude Méthé, Carmen Beaudoin Bombardier, Benoit and Antoine Bourque, and Pete’s Posse will perform at Burlington’s City Hall to salute this amazing woman’s legacy.
