George Dunne
George is a classically trained flautist and self-taught button accordion player. He has recorded on both Philo and Green Linnet record labels with renowned Vermont folk artist Jon Gailmor. He can also be heard as a studio musician on many other recordings made in the Vermont region. George combined music with his love of folk dancing by playing in contra-dance bands from 1988 to 1994. In 1998 he was selected to play accordion and flute for Martha Pellerin's production of "La Danse des Enfants" which toured through-out New England and Québec. He lives in an 1830 farm-house in Lincoln, Vermont with his wife Pam, Buddy, the French rabbit- terrier, two miniature donkeys, Grace & Ruby Jewel and any cats that may happen to drop in for a warm bed and a meal. When not playing music, George is a graphic designer with Wood & Wood Signs in Waitsfield, Vermont, where he has been drafting international award winning designs for over 20 years. As part of his community volunteer work, George is also in his 13th year as an EMT with Vermont Emergency Medical Services
